How to Perform Seated Lateral Raise

Sit on a bench with your feet flat on the floor while holding a dumbbell in each hand at your sides. Keep your back straight and your core engaged. With a slight bend in your elbows, raise the dumbbells out to the sides until your arms reach roughly shoulder height. Pause briefly at the top while squeezing your shoulders, then slowly lower the dumbbells back to the starting position with control.
