How to Perform Barbell High Pull

Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart holding a barbell with an overhand grip slightly wider than shoulder-width. Start with the bar at mid-thigh level or just above the knees. Hinge slightly at the hips while keeping your chest up and back neutral. Explosively extend your hips and knees to drive the bar upward while keeping it close to your body. Pull your elbows upward and outward as the bar rises to chest height. Lower the bar back to the starting position under control and repeat.
