This Privacy Policy explains how Gainzbook ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website and services.

2. What Data We Collect

• Account information (name, email address)
• Fitness data (workouts, nutrition logs, measurements)
• Technical data (IP address, browser type, device)
• Usage data (pages visited, features used)

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the service
• To manage your account
• To process subscriptions and payments
• To improve features and user experience
• To communicate with you

4. Legal Basis (UK GDPR)

We process your data based on:

• Performance of a contract (providing the service)
• Legitimate interests (improving the platform)
• Consent (where required, e.g. cookies)

5. Payments

Payments are processed securely by third-party providers such as Stripe. We do not store your full payment details.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

• Payment providers (e.g. Stripe)
• Hosting and infrastructure providers
• Analytics services (if used)

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as required to provide services and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account (see section 8a below), your profile, workout history, nutrition logs, measurements, progress photos, saved workouts and preferences are permanently removed from our active systems. We do not keep a separate copy anywhere else. If you had a Stripe subscription, Stripe retains its own independent billing/invoice records under its own compliance obligations - that is managed entirely by Stripe, not Gainzbook.

You have the right to:

8a. Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your Gainzbook account and all associated data at any time:

• In the Gainzbook app: Settings → Privacy and account → Delete account
• On the web, while signed in: Account → Danger Zone → Delete account
• Or directly at gainzbook.com/account/delete, which also works if you don't have the app installed

Deleting your account removes your workout history, nutrition/food logs, saved workouts and programs, measurements, progress photos, onboarding answers, settings and preferences, and your sign-in credentials (including any linked Google sign-in). This action is immediate and cannot be undone.

Google-authenticated accounts: deleting your Gainzbook account only deletes your Gainzbook account and data, and removes Gainzbook's link to your Google sign-in - it does not delete or affect your underlying Google account.

Subscriptions: deleting your Gainzbook account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Manage that subscription from the store where it was purchased.

We do not accept account deletion by email address alone, to prevent someone else from deleting your account. Deletion requires you to sign in and confirm (with your password, or by reconfirming through Google for Google-only accounts).

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.
