Rowing Machine
How to Perform Rowing Machine
The rowing machine is a full-body cardiovascular exercise that mimics the motion of rowing a boat while building strength and endurance. To use it, sit on the seat with your feet secured in the foot straps and grasp the handle with both hands. Begin the movement by pushing through your legs, keeping your back straight and core engaged. As your legs extend, lean slightly back from the hips and pull the handle toward your lower chest or upper abdomen. Reverse the motion by extending your arms first, leaning forward from the hips, and then bending your knees to return to the starting position. Focus on smooth, controlled strokes rather than rushing the movement. Rowing primarily works the legs, glutes, back, and core, while also engaging the shoulders and arms, making it an effective low-impact exercise for improving both strength and cardiovascular fitness.
