How to Perform Pause Squat
Stand with a barbell resting across your upper back and shoulders in a squat rack. Position your feet about shoulder-width apart with your toes slightly pointed outward. Brace your core and lower your body by bending your knees and pushing your hips back. Descend until your thighs are at least parallel to the floor, then pause briefly at the bottom while maintaining tension. After the pause, drive through your heels to extend your hips and knees, returning to the starting position.
