How to Perform Box Squat

Position a sturdy box or bench behind you inside a squat rack. Stand with a barbell resting across your upper back and shoulders with your feet about shoulder-width apart. Brace your core and begin lowering your body by bending your knees and pushing your hips back. Descend until you lightly sit on the box while maintaining tension in your legs and core. Pause briefly, then drive through your heels to stand back up to the starting position.
